A 34-year-old man born in India presents with a 3-month history of cough, night sweats, weight loss, and hemoptysis. Chest X-ray shows bilateral apical cavitary lesions. Sputum smear is positive for acid-fast bacilli. He is started on standard four-drug therapy.
